NOTICE OF FINDING OF NO SIGNFICANT IMPACT AND
NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS

The City of Watsonville will submit a request to HUD for the release of $256,257 in CDBG funds to undertake a project known as the Ramsay Park Renaissance Project for the purpose of funding a portion of the all-inclusive playground that serves youth from five (5) to twelve (12) years of age of all abilities in the existing Ramsay Park located at 1301 Main Street, Watsonville, California.
The all-inclusive playground will be located on the hilltop area, and the play area will be split into multiple zones to provide experiences for both younger and older children. Features include a slide area, swing area, spinning features, musical and sensory areas, as well as picnic areas. The City of Watsonville has determined that the project will have no significant impact on the human environment.
The completed Environmental Assessment (EA) is available at the City of Watsonville and may be examined or copied Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Any individual, group, or agency may submit written comments on the EA to the City of Watsonville at the above address. All comments received between November 9, 2024, to December 10, 2024, at 5:00 P.M will be considered by the City of Watsonville prior to authorizing the submission of a request for release of funds. Comments should specify which Notice they are addressing.
