Enjoy exciting flyovers, a patriotic parachute flag jump, live music, a free Kids Zone, tasty local food vendors, and a spectacular fireworks show to end the night.

To ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience at the Watsonville Municipal Airport Open House, please note the following: 

  • All carried items are subject to search.
  • The following are not allowed:
    • Weapons or fireworks of any kind
    • Coolers*, cans, glass containers, or alcohol
    • Pets**
    • Barbecues or any cooking equipment on ramps, taxiways, or runways
  • Cash is required for food purchases. An ATM will be available near the terminal for your convenience.
  • The airport will remain in full operation throughout the event. Please use caution around aircraft, which may have exposed sharp corners or edges.
  • Debris is extremely hazardous to aircraft and spectators. Please dispose of all trash in designated receptacles to help maintain a clean and safe environment for everyone.

* Small coolers for life-saving medications are permitted
** Only certified service animals are permitted

Since 2017, the Watsonville Municipal Airport has welcomed the community to its annual Open House event. This free gathering marks the start of the Labor Day celebrations and offers residents a unique chance to explore general aviation up close. 

The event showcases who we are and what we do as a Regional General Aviation Airport. Highlights include first responder aviation assets, local agri-business flight departments, antique aircraft, flyovers, a parachute flag jump, live music, a free Kidz Zone, food vendors, and the return of our Pyrotechnics Display this year. 

We invite everyone to join us for a day of fun, learning, and community spirit.
