Social and Community Service Grants

SOCIAL SERVICE BANNER
The City of Watsonville intends to fund Social and Community Service Agencies during the next budget cycle of 2025-2027.

The City of Watsonville has allocated $250,000 to $300,000 per year to fund these grants. The General Fund and Measure M Tax have been identified as the two funding sources available to fund community organizations.

The Council will consider funding requests from organizations, rather than specific programs, that provide services in Watsonville for children, youth, adults, and seniors. Services designed to address current community needs, such as prevention, intervention, and pro-social/developmental activities for youth, immigration services, and or other current emerging needs will be considered.

Organizations may apply for funding between $6,000 and $24,000 per year or for a $1,000 short-term project grant. A single application should be completed by each organization and should include information on how the funding will be spent.

Previously funded organizations will be evaluated on their past compliance with reporting requirements to this program. The Council will prioritize proposals that help advance the strategic priorities of the Council.

Applications are due by 5pm on April 23, 2025.
