Looking for a place for your teen to hang out after school? The Watsonville Youth Center is a fun and safe place for middle & high school students to come and participate in recreation programs. Opportunities include homework assistance, snacks, and activities such as: arts and crafts, outdoor games, gardening, field trips, and more! Free with "Passport to Fun" membership. 

Features

This site features a large gym, outdoor courtyard, teen room, and a classroom that allow staff to offer a variety of sports, games and arts and crafts activities.

  • Friday 1:30-9 PM
  • Saturday 2-9 PM

  • M-TH, April 6 – 9 | 11 AM–6 PM

 What is an Ambassador?

Advocates for the Youth Center and its mission
Mentors peers and sets a positive example
Builds connections between staff, youth, and community
Aware of programming, events, and opportunities
Supports activities by participating and encouraging others
Shares information and promotes events
Assists staff through volunteering and leadership
Demonstrates respect, teamwork, and responsibility
Offers ideas for program improvement and innovation
Represents the Youth Center with pride and enthusiasm

Who Qualifies as an Ambassador?

  • Someone who regularly attends and participates in Youth Center programs and activities.
  • Someone who is familiar with the Youth Center and the programs/activities offered through it.
  • Someone who is personable and engaging with other youth and isn’t afraid to speak and engage with new people.
  • Someone who wants to help make the Youth Center continually improve and grow.
  • Someone who is responsible and respectful
  • Someone who leads by example and is trustworthy

How Do I Become an Ambassador?

To be considered for the Ambassador program, please speak with a Teammate within the Youth Center. We will be happy to provide you with further information to assist you in the process of becoming a Youth Center Ambassador.
